Meet our Panelists
Arielle Kohr
Arielle Kohr is a Program Manager in Verizon's Corporate Social Responsibility Department. In this role, she manages a network of over 500 Citizen Verizon Volunteer Champions across 22 countries to develop opportunities for employees to leverage their time and expertise at the local level. Since launching this program in 2019, she has led employees to commit over 1M volunteer hours to communities around the world.
Prior to Arielle’s role at Verizon, she managed the JPMorgan Chase Foundation’s global workplace giving programs and disaster relief portfolio, which combined drove more than $20 million dollars to nonprofit organizations around the world annually. Prior to this role, Arielle helped manage the social compliance program for Nordstrom Product Group, working with factories around the world to mitigate human rights violations in the Nordstrom supply chain.
Arielle graduated with honors from Virginia Tech and received her master’s degree from the Columbia School of Social Work. In her free time, she loves to travel and is always looking for good book recommendations.
Nicole Gordon
Nicole Gordon is Director of Corporate Responsibility at AmerisourceBergen and Program Director of the AmerisourceBergen Foundation. Nicole is responsible for ESG (Environmental Social Governance) reporting, including the annual Global Sustainability report and ESG rating/ranking strategy. Nicole leads community impact and engagement and strategic non-profit partnerships for the company. Previous roles include Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy and Communications at BNY Mellon and Ascena (parent company of Ann Taylor brands). Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Business from Columbia University, and certificate in Sustainability Leadership from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Dr. Mark Glazebrook
Mark was never really satisfied with how Social Work has been narrowly defined amongst Universities or the profession.
He chose instead areas where he could contribute in non-traditional ways that led to real, sustainable change, but strangely where it’s rare or unheard of to find social workers.
Mark wanted social work to have a seat at the table where big decisions are made about people’s lives. He has since been invited to the tables of Corporate and multinational business, commercial ventures, start-ups and entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship, human resources, ESG, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility, organisational and cultural change, and many more.

Mark has always been fascinated by the overlap between social work and business and undertook the first Australian Ph.D. in Corporate Social Responsibility to find out more.
These experiences have helped motivate Mark to create systemic and lasting change across many parts of society.
But it’s not always been plain sailing, with some of Mark’s corporate colleagues calling him the ‘do gooder’ and treating him as an oddity, to which Mark would say, ‘if I’m doing good, then what are you doing?’
Mark looks forward to sharing his experiences about doing ‘social work without doing social work’, such as creating economic empowerment and self-belief of girls, business development for first nations, employment for people with disabilities, housing and employment for homeless people, and game-changing product innovation within a fuel company to help save lives amongst first nations youth across both Australia and Canada.
